He is member of the dissertation Council of Federal Scientific Agroengineering Center VIM. Under the leadership of A. Yu. Ismailov 7 PhD and 5 doctoral dissertations were prepared and defended.
He was awarded the medal "in memory of the 850th anniversary of Moscow", diplomas of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation and the Russian Academy of agriculture, the Gold medal of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation "For contribution to the development of the agro-industrial complex of Russia".
He is winner of the Government of the Russian Federation Prize in science and technology.
The main research directions of A. Yu. Izmailov are:
- development of innovative technologies, high-performance complexes of automated machines and equipment for agricultural production;
- development of a complex of intelligent machines and units for breeding and seed crops;
- creation of transport and technological complexes for logistics processes of agricultural production;
- development of digital technologies in the agricultural sector.
